Lisa Renee Johnson
A true sunshine girl at heart, Lisa Renee Johnson was born in Florida, reared in Corpus Christi, Texas and now resides in Northern California with her family. Lisa Renee received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Health Sciences and Public Administration from California State University, Hayward.
Lisa Renee may be a newbie to the scene of fiction, but she’s not new to the mesmerizing power of a good book. She grew up frequenting the local library, immersing herself in fictional tales. That love of reading followed her into her adult life where she co-founded and is the president of a fabulous local book club.
By day, she works as a Grants and Contracts Manager in a public agency. By night, she creates stories about people she can relate to—real people in disguise. Establishing her own publishing company, Brown Girl Press, Lisa Renee took a leap of faith and independently published her first novel, Dangerous Consequences. Her novel explores very real issues—infidelity, sexual abuse, mental illness and sexual harassment.
When Lisa Renee is not writing, running marathons, reading steamy novels or eating red velvet cupcakes, she’s usually traveling to interesting places, so she can write about them later. She’s currently working on a new novel, Bad Habits, the next page-turner in the Dangerous Consequences series.
