Mrs. Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts may be best known as the mother of Good Morning America coanchor Robin Roberts, but the 88-year-old woman has achieved great success in her own right. Lucimarian Tolliver was born in 1924 in Akron, Ohio. As a teenager she was awarded the John S. Knight Scholarship, given by the publishers of the Akron Beacon Journal. The first person in her family to go to college, Tolliver graduated in 1946 from Howard University, where she met her future husband, Lawrence Roberts. The couple had four children and moved 27 times as part of Mr.

Desiree Evans is a Christian Author/ Novelist. Desiree has just published her debut novel, "Her Divine Destiny." This novel will inspire, encourage, and uplift women of every age, and ethnicity, to have faith in God's grace, and the love of Jesus Christ to give you the victory over any circumstance. Desiree lost her Mother to breast cancer in 1970, and later suffered from depression, and alcohol addiction. In 1985, she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, and was delivered and set free from both, depression; as well as alcohol addiction. Desiree's raised her children practically as a single-working Mom. She understands, and has great insight into what the struggle is like for these very courageous women.

Today, Desiree has been blessed to achieve an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice; as well as Bachelor of Science Degree w/Honors from Ashworth College. She minored in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at Lakewood College, where she will be featured alumnus in Lakewood College Newsletter on June 29th, 2012. Desiree has been an elected member of Delta Epsilon Tau International Honors Society, since 2010.
The Lord has blessed her with a ministry of prayer, as a Prayer Warrior. Desiree is a baptized believer, and servant of Jesus Christ. Desiree's church home is Abundant Life Jackson; where the full gospel is preached by Pastor Jeremiah Hosford, and The Women's Ministry is led by his wife, First Lady Lisa Hosford. Desiree also feels very blessed to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her hobbies include writing, and she loves baking and decorating cupcakes.
